After this you can add even more self-hosted applications, you already have a solid base to continue hosting apps, accessing them remotely and backing them up.

You took the time to take control in your own hands and not depend on a Cloud Provider. Getting your hands dirty takes time, but it will be worth it in the long run and you will learn tons of new things. I prefer investing in my own small hardware upfront than paying a small (or not so small) ever increasing fee until the rest of my life.
