This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled when you visit https://iliadimitrov.com(opens in new window) (the “Site”), a personal blog operated by Ilia Dimitrov (the “Owner”).
The Site is a personal, non-commercial blog. It does not offer user accounts or logins, does not allow comments, and is not integrated with any third-party advertising networks or analytics/statistics vendors.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this Site is:
- Ilia Dimitrov
- Contact: [email protected]
2. What data is collected
Because the Site has no login, no comment system, and no third-party tracking or advertising tools, no personal data is intentionally collected from you, and you are not asked to provide any.
The only data processed is the limited technical information that is automatically generated whenever any website is accessed:
- Server log data. Like virtually all websites, the Site’s hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information in server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you request, the date and time of the request, and the referring page. This happens at the hosting/infrastructure level and is used only to operate the Site securely and reliably.
3. Cookies
The Site does not set its own tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
WordPress and its core components may set a small number of strictly functional cookies in limited situations (for example, basic session or security functions). No cookies are used to profile you or track you across other websites. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings.
4. Why data is processed and the legal basis
Any technical data described above is processed for the following purposes, under the legitimate interests legal basis (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR):
- to deliver and display the Site’s content to visitors;
- to maintain the security, stability, and integrity of the Site;
- to diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse.
No data is processed for marketing, profiling, or automated decision-making.
5. Sharing of data
No personal data is sold, rented, or shared for marketing purposes.
Technical/log data may be processed by the Site’s hosting provider acting as a processor solely to host and operate the Site. Data may also be disclosed if required by law or to respond to a valid legal request.
6. Data retention
The Owner does not maintain its own database of visitor personal data. Any server log data is retained only for as long as the hosting provider’s standard log-retention period, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
7. International transfers
If the hosting provider stores data outside your country or the European Economic Area, such transfers are subject to the safeguards required by applicable data protection law.
8. Your rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- access the personal data held about you;
- request correction or erasure of that data;
- restrict or object to its processing;
- request data portability;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Bulgaria, this is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP).
To exercise any of these rights, contact the Owner at the email address in Section 1. Please note that, because the Site collects no identifying information beyond host-level logs, the Owner may be unable to identify you within those logs.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any personal data from children.
10. External links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. The Owner is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites. This Policy applies only to this Site.
11. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
